As an EarthRover owner, you can share bot access with friends or other drivers. With a quick link, they can drive your bot on their own FrodoBots account. Here’s how to set it up.
How to Share Access to Your Earth Rover
Click the Share button under the bot's name you want to share access to.
In the pop-up, click Make Public to allow access.
Click Copy Link to get the shareable URL. All generated links are unique and automatically expire in 24 hours.
Send the copied link to your friend or another driver.
Managing and Revoking Shared Access
View Active Driver
On your dashboard, under the EarthRover name, you will see “[username] is driving…” when someone is currently controlling your robot.
Revoke Access Anytime
You can make the robot private again at any time by clicking Make Private on the share settings. This will expire the shared link, and your friend will lose access to the bot. If you want to allow them to reaccess the bot, click Share, switch it back to Make Public, and send the new link to them.
How Your Friend Can Start Driving
After sharing the URL with your friend, they will need to follow these steps:
Input the shared link into their browser, preferably Chrome.
If they already have a FrodoBots account, they can log in. If not, they will need to sign up using their Discord account.
After signing in, the robot will be listed under Shared Bot in their account.
To begin driving, your friend just needs to click Drive on their dashboard.
Tracking Shared Driving Activity
To view your friend's driving history:
Go to your dashboard and locate the Drive Information section.
You’ll see your friend’s username and driving details, including both scored and unscored drives.
Reward Distribution
When you share access to your bot, rewards are distributed automatically based on who is driving.
NFTs (Fugis): Any NFTs collected during the drive go directly to the driver’s wallet.
FrodoBots Points (FBP): Points earned from the drive are split evenly, with 50% going to the bot owner and 50% to the driver.
This reward split applies only when someone else is driving your bot.
