Do I need to buy a robot to get started?

Do I need to buy a robot to get started?

Short answer: No. You can start without buying a robot.
Whether you need to own one depends on how you want to play.

EarthRovers School (No robot needed)

You don’t need to own a robot to play in EarthRovers School. This gameplay is designed for gamers who don’t own a bot, allowing you to drive EarthRovers scattered in different cities.

To start driving, you’ll need a game pass, which includes:

  • Life Points (LP): Required to start missions.

  • Time Credits (TC): Needed to keep your missions running.

Note: Purchasing a game pass is currently unavailable.

ET Fugi (Ownership affects how you earn)

For ET Fugi, robot ownership affects how rewards are shared, not whether you can play.

🤝 Driving a shared robot (no purchase required)

You don’t need to buy a robot if:

  • A bot owner shares access with you

  • Shared access lasts up to 24 hours, or until the owner revokes it

How rewards work

  • Miles earned during shared drives are split 50/50

    • 50% to the bot owner

    • 50% to the borrower (you)

  • Borrowers can earn and keep their share from ET Fugi drives

🚀 Owning a robot (full rewards and control)

You need to buy a robot if:

  • You want 100% of the miles and rewards

  • You want full control over when and where the bot is deployed

  • You want uninterrupted access without relying on shared availability

Owning an EarthRover gives you full control over:

  • Deployment and scheduling

  • Access permissions

  • Reward allocation and long-term progression
