Everything You Need to Know About Retries

Everything you need to know about using a retry to try again after a breach or a failed challenge.

What Is Retry?

Retry gives you a free second chance if you fail a stage.

Retry gives you a free second chance on every FundedSquad Evaluation account.

Retry is available on every FundedSquad evaluation account that was bought on or after 23rd July at 12:00 p.m. UK time. It only works on accounts you paid for.

It does not work on promo accounts, giveaway accounts, or any other free accounts. Retry works on all evaluation models and all stages, but you only get one Retry credit per account, not one per phase.

If you fail a stage, we give you a new account of the same size. You don't pay anything extra. You can then try that stage again.

Retry works on these stages:

  • Phase 1

  • Phase 2

  • Funded account

What you get:

  • A new account at the same size as the one you failed

  • No extra cost

Example: You fail Phase 2 on a $50,000 account. We give you a new $50,000 account so you can try Phase 2 again.

📌 Please note that the Retry feature does not apply to any Evaluation account purchased before 23rd July at 12:00 p.m. UK time.

Retry is completely free. You don't need to buy anything or use a discount code. If you fail a stage because of a daily loss, a max or trailing loss, or any other rule violation, you get a new account of the same size as your original account.

Retry accounts have their own rules, drawdown, and profit target. Each account gets only one retry, not one per stage.

For example, if you fail Phase 1 and get a Phase 1 retry, and then fail that one too, you will not get another retry. Once your retry is used, every later stage you reach also runs on retry rules.

Understanding the Retry Feature

Every FundedSquad Evaluation account (1-Step, 1-Step Pro, 2-Step Fast, and 2-Step Squad) comes with one free Retry. If you fail because of a qualifying rule breach, like the Daily Loss or Maximum/Trailing Loss limit, you can use your free Retry to try again.

To get it, contact our Live Chat within 14 days of the breach and ask for your Retry account. It is usually ready within 24 to 48 hours. Your Retry account has the same size as your original account, but it follows the Retry risk limits and profit targets.

Add-ons you bought with the original account do not carry over. Once you have it, you can start trading and try the failed stage again. If you pass, you move on to the next stage under the Retry rules. If you fail the Retry account too, your free Retry is used up and you will need to buy a new account to continue.

Why does my Retry account show an add-on on my dashboard? Does this mean I have a Retry?

No. The add-on only shows up because your Retry account is linked to the same order number as your main account. It does not mean you have an extra Retry or that the add-on is active on your Retry account.

How Can I Claim My Retry?

Retry accounts are not issued automatically when you fail your account. To claim yours, contact our support team through Live Chat within 14 days of the day your account was breached, and give them your account details.

Our team will note down your details, and within 24 to 48 hours your Retry account will be issued and will show on your dashboard. You can check your email and your dashboard for the login details.

Note: You only have 14 days to claim your Retry account. Retry only works on evaluation models. It does not work on instant models.

What Account Failures Qualify for Retry?

There are no additional conditions for Retry eligibility. If you personally fail your account by hitting the Daily Loss limit, Maximum Loss limit, or Trailing Drawdown limit, you are eligible for a Retry.

Accounts that are failed or breached by the Risk Team during a risk review are not eligible for a Retry. Accounts that are failed or suspended during a Risk Review process are also not eligible.

A Retry is only available when the account is actually failed or breached by the user through their own trading activity.

Note: Accounts breached due to inactivity are not eligible for a Retry.

Risk & Drawdown Rules

Max Daily Drawdown – Dynamic

Your maximum daily loss limit depends on the percentage set for your account model. The Daily Drawdown is calculated every day at 12:00 AM UTC (midnight), based on your starting balance or equity for that day. Your balance or equity must not fall below the allowed daily drawdown limit during the trading day.

Example: On a $100,000 account with a 3% Daily Drawdown limit, your maximum daily loss is $3,000. If your balance or equity falls below $97,000, the account will be breached.

Max Drawdown – Trailing

The Maximum Drawdown is trailing and is based on your account equity. The drawdown level moves up whenever your account reaches a new highest equity level, also known as the high-water mark. As your account equity increases and reaches a new high, the Maximum Drawdown level moves up accordingly.

Max Floating Risk

If your combined floating (unrealized) loss across all active positions reaches the maximum allowed percentage of your initial account balance at any moment, the account will be permanently closed.

Example: On a $50,000 account with a 1% Max Floating Risk limit, the maximum allowed floating loss is $500. If the combined floating loss across all open positions reaches -$500, the account will be immediately closed.

Reverse Trading Rule

The Reverse Trading Rule only applies to the Rapid model. You cannot open a position in the opposite direction on the same trading pair within 15 minutes after closing a trade at TP, SL, or through manual closure.

For example, if you close a BUY trade on EURUSD, you cannot open a SELL trade on EURUSD within the next 15 minutes. Doing so will be considered Reverse Trading and will result in a rule violation.

Retry is not available for Instant accounts purchased after 17 September at 12:00 PM UK time. If your Instant account was purchased before this time, you are eligible for a Retry.
