One of our most exciting features is the ability to transfer your tokens into Fun's Checkout from any exchange or external wallet. We've broken down our most commonly asked questions on the feature below. If you need more support you can reach us through the live chat.

What is Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit is a core functionality of Fun's Checkout product. It allows you to easily transfer a range of tokens from your centralised exchange or wallet into the dApp you're interacting with.

If the connected dApp requires a specific token, Fun will complete all the required bridging and swapping necessary to make your assets compatible.

The screenshot below shows a Direct Deposit example on Polymarket which requires deposits in USDC Polygon. Direct Deposit may be used in this example to send DAI on Polygon by either scanning the QR code or transferring tokens to the specified wallet address.

How can I use Direct Deposit?

The feature was designed to be one of the simplest ways to transfer your tokens into a dApp.

To use Direct Deposit, follow these steps:

  1. Open Fun Checkout and select Direct Deposit as a source option

  2. Select which chain and token your assets are on from the dropdown

    • Depending on the asset, this will update the QR code/deposit address and minimum transfer amount

  3. Scan the QR code or copy the deposit address to the withdrawal/transfer page of your exchange/wallet

    • Ensure you are transferring above the specified minimum transfer amount and the deposit address matches what's shown on Checkout

  4. Withdraw/transfer the tokens from your exchange/wallet and wait until they're reflected on the dApp

What can I send through Direct Deposit?

FAQs

Are there deposit limits?

MINIMUMS

  • Direct Deposit has minimum deposit amounts set at the chain level to ensure transactions are completed successfully and gas is covered:

    • Ethereum: $50

    • L2s: $10

MAXIMUMS

  • Fun does not set upper limits for Direct Deposit

    • If you withdraw/transfer funds from a centralised exchange there may be maximum limits as set by the application. You can typically find these on the exchange's help guide

How long will it take to receive my funds?

Most assets will be received around 60 seconds after they've been confirmed as leaving your exchange/wallet.

If its been over 10 minutes since you sent your assets, please refer to the "How can I get in touch with Fun" section.

Can I store the deposit address?

We always recommend returning to Checkout on the dApp where you generated your deposit address to ensure they match.

Deposit addresses will continue to stay live after each use however will become stale over time, slowing the settlement speed.

  • Transaction Hash

    • This can be found on the exchange/wallet you sent the assets from

  • Token and Chain of sent asset

  • Wallet address you sent the assets from

  • Email
