Create appointments in your courses

How to Create Appointments

Click on any course of your choice and click the "Create" button in the top right corner. Then choose "Appointment" to begin creating.


1. Naming and Scheduling Your Appointment

Once you've initiated the process, a window will open, prompting you to fill out the "General" tab. In the "General" tab, specify the appointment's name, date, time, and duration.

Explore the recurrence option to schedule repeated appointments. Customize the frequency, days, and end date for recurring events.

2. Location

Set a location for your appointment.

Online: For an online event, enable "Online" and select a provider or use a custom link.

Select a Room: Choose a physical room from your institution's available options.

If a room is already taken you won´t be able to select it. This prevents mix-ups in the Room organizing of your institution.

To select a room you have to create one first!

Custom Address: For a custom address click "Use Custom Address" and enter the desired location.

Hybrid Appointment: Choose the "Hybrid" option to let your appointment be in person as well as online.

Control visibility: Select the courses where users should see the appointment. Add or remove courses as needed.


3. Organizer

Assign an organizer for the event. If you're the host, click "Create" to finalize the appointment.


4. Review your Event

Once created, members of the selected courses can view the appointment on the right side of their screen. Clicking on it reveals details such as date, time, and location on a Google Maps map.


5. Deleting / Editing Appointment

If errors occur during the creation of your appointment, simply click on it, go to options, and choose to edit the appointment or the entire series (if it repeats).

Editing opens a window displaying each step. You can make necessary changes or delete the appointment as needed.


6. Create in Calendar

You also have the option to create your appointment inside the Fuxam Calendar.

Use the "Create" option: Similar as inside the course there is the "Create" option in the top right corner of the Calendar, after selecting it the appointment creation window will open. It works the same way as in the creation inside the course.

Grab and Drag: For this option you click and hold with your mouse courser at the date and time you want the appointment to be. Now, while still holding, drag your courser down until the wished time span is reached, let go of your mouse button and the appointment creation window will appear. It works the same way as before, though now the time and date are the same as you selected before. If any mistake happened you of course can change the time again.
