Why am I getting an error when trying to connect my email?

Some of these errors can occur for various reasons based on the connection with either Google or Microsoft & often we won't be able to resolve them immediately. However we would advise you wait an hour and then follow the steps to disconnect:

  1. Please go to your Fyxer dashboard at app.fyxer.com

  2. Navigate to > Settings > under Integrations.

  3. From there you'll see Email > Delete integration (three dots on the right side).

  4. Following this you will need to manually remove your Labels (Gmail) or Folders (Outlook) within your email client.

  5. Sign out of your Email client.

  6. After waiting for a couple of minutes, clear your cache & use a new/refresh your browser.

  7. Go back to your Fyxer app.fyxer.com dashboard, reconnect your email.

  8. Sign back into your Outlook/Gmail.

Error messages:

Here are some common error messages (however not limited to) you may encounter when connecting your email:

  • “Error 400 or 500” - This is an error from Microsoft, and unfortunately, there is nothing we can do on our side.

  • “Rate Limit” - Too much activity occurring within Outlook - therefore external tools like Fyxer AI won't be able to integrate.

  • “Error when connecting to Google” - This error will detail a reason in the message, often there is a duplication of email addresses linked within an organisation.

  • “Sorry we’re having trouble signing you in” - This is an error where an email address does not match domain of Organisation you are trying to join.

Troubleshooting Steps to resolve errors:

Here are some common steps we advise you to follow to help resolve those errors:

  1. Check various plugins/tools active within your Email Client & disable to reduce activity.

  2. Wait for an hour before disconnecting & reconnecting (follow steps above).

  3. Delete any third party permissions within your Email Client before trying to reconnect.

  4. Double check you have not signed in previously with another email address which is linked to an existing profile on Fyxer AI.
