How to Cancel a Gabb Line

Can I cancel my line?

We make canceling a line (or all of your lines) with Gabb easy. You can cancel a line from within your Gabb account, or by contacting us via phone.

After you cancel a line we'll assess any prorated credits or Early Termination Fees. We'll send you a final bill with all your final credits and charges, and we'll also send you an email confirming that your line has been canceled.

‼️ When you cancel a line, the line is immediately deactivated, billing stops, and the phone number is lost.

How do I cancel a line on my Gabb account?

You have two options for canceling a line on your Gabb account: cancel online, or cancel with a representative.

Cancel online 💻

You can cancel your Gabb account online directly from your Gabb account, without needing to contact Gabb Support.

Follow these steps to cancel your account online:

  1. Log in to your Gabb account.

  2. Tap View Details under to the line you want to cancel.

  3. Scroll down to the Device Information section, then tap Cancel Line.

    • If your device is eligible for return, you’ll be directed to fill out a return form during the cancelation process.

  4. Follow the prompts to cancel your line. You will receive a confirmation screen when the line is canceled and we’ll send you an email with all of the cancelation details.

After you cancel your line, you may receive a prorated credit for the time you have remaining for the month. If you receive a prorated credit it can take up to 15 business days to receive back to your card on file.

‼️ You may also receive an Early Termination Fee (ETF), depending on your contract status.

Cancel with a representative 💬

Cancel with a representative: We have agents standing by ready to help you with your cancelation. Contact Gabb Support if you’d like an agent to help you with the cancelation process. Agents are available via chat or phone Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. MT, Saturday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. MT.

After you cancel your line, you may receive a prorated credit for the time you have remaining for the month. If you receive a prorated credit it can take up to 15 business days to receive.

You may also receive an Early Termination Fee (ETF), depending on your contract status.

What happens after I cancel my line?

  1. Final invoice and prorated billing: After cancelation, your final invoice will be issued on your usual monthly billing date. Final bills are prorated based on the remaining days in your billing cycle. You may receive an Early Termination Fee (ETF), depending on your contract status.

  2. Billing: Once your line is disconnected, you'll no longer be billed for that line. Outstanding charges and credits will be settled during on your final bill. If the cancelation occurs after your current invoice has been generated, the full invoice amount will still be charged, but you'll receive a prorated credit for the days you didn't use.

  3. Refund timelines: Refunds are automatically processed back to the card on file. It can take up to 15 business days to receive your refund.

    1. If your final bill has an amount due, we'll charge your card on file within 15 business days.

  4. Line cancelation:

    1. If you still have active lines with Gabb, your final charges and credits will be on your next bill. You will no longer be billed for the line you canceled.

    2. If you don't have any active lines with Gabb, your account will be closed after your final bill is credited or charged.

Common billing scenarios after cancelation

  1. Canceling before your billing cycle ends: If you cancel your line before your billing cycle ends, you will receive a prorated credit for the remaining days in your billing cycle. This credit will be on your next invoice.

  2. Canceling after an invoice is generated: If you cancel your line after your invoice has been generated, you'll still have to pay that invoice. Then, on the next invoice, you'll see your prorated credit.

Will I be charge an Early Termination Fee (ETF)?

Early Termination Fees (ETFs) are charged when you cancel a line before your contract ends. If you cancel a line after your contract ends, you won't be charged an ETF.

👉 Each line has its own individual ETF. If you cancel multiple lines, each ETF will be added together for your total ETF.

‼️ ETFs are applied immediately upon cancelation and charged to the card on file on your next bill.

Can I transfer my phone number to another carrier?

Yes, you can transfer your Gabb Phone number to another carrier. To transfer your Gabb phone number to another carrier, follow these steps:

  1. Contact your new carrier: Begin the transfer process with the other carrier. You'll need your Gabb phone number and your transfer PIN.

    1. Your transfer PIN is your Gabb account security PIN.

  2. Keep your Gabb line active: Ensure that your Gabb line remains active throughout the transfer process. Disconnected lines can't be transferred to another carrier.

  3. Automatic line cancelation: After the transfer process is complete, your Gabb line will automatically be canceled. We'll send you an email confirmation once your line is fully canceled with Gabb.

When moving your Gabb phone number to another carrier, keep these tips in mind:

  • Keep your Gabb line active until the transfer is complete to avoid service disruptions snd ensure that you can transfer your phone number.

  • You'll need your Gabb account number and transfer PIN (same as your Gabb account security PIN).

  • Start the port out/transfer process with your other carrier.

  • After the transfer is complete, your Gabb line will be automatically canceled. If that was the only line on your account, your account will be closed.

‼️ Canceling your Gabb line may result in an Early Termination Fee.

How do I temporarily suspend my line? ⏸️

When you suspend your line, or put it on hold, calling and texting will be disabled. ‼️ You will still be billed for your line.

You may wish to temporarily suspend your line if your Gabb Phone or Gabb Watch has been stolen or lost, you're traveling for an extended time, or if you need to pause cellular service for another reason.

‼️ Temporarily suspending your line will not stop billing. You will continue to be billed for the suspended line.

Suspend a line

  1. Log in to your Gabb account.

  2. Tap View Details next to the line you want to suspend.

  3. Tap Suspend Line in the Device Information section.

  4. Tap Suspend.

Reactivate a line

  1. Log in to your Gabb account.

  2. Tap End Suspension next to the line that is suspended.

What is Gabb's return policy? 🔄

Return eligibility is based on your date of purchase.

  • Devices purchased between January 1 and October 31 may be returned within 30 days of the purchase date.

  • Devices purchased between November 1 and December 31 may be returned through January 31.

‼️ If the retail box is not sealed upon return, there will be a $50 restocking fee. Opened accessories are non-refundable.

To return a device ordered from Gabb:

  1. Follow the cancelation steps as outlined above.

  2. If prompted, you'll fill out a return form for your device.

If you do not see the return form and believe you are eligible, please submit a return request.

Return a device ordered from Amazon or other retailer

To return a device ordered from Amazon or another retailer, log in to your account with the retailer to return the device.

‼️ Returning a device will not automatically cancel your cellular plan with Gabb. To cancel your cellular service plan, you must cancel your plan directly with Gabb.

Why I am still being charged after cancelation?

You may have received a bill after you cancel a line if your bill was issued before the line was canceled. You may receive a prorated credit for this month on your next month's bill.

Confirm your cancelation date and if the charges are valid. If you have questions about your bill, please contact Gabb Support.

Why does my account show as active after I cancel it?

If your account is still showing as active after you canceled it, this may be because your account hasn't updated yet. It can take a few minutes for your account status to update.

If your cancelation still isn't showing after you log out and log back in, please contact Gabb Support.

Will I be charged a cancelation fee?

  • If your contract ends before you cancel, you will not be charged an Early Termination Fee (ETF).

  • If you cancel if the middle of a contract, an ETF may be assessed.

What happens if I cancel after paying for a whole month?

If you cancel after paying for a whole month of service, you'll receive a prorated credit for the unused days. We'll refund this to your credit card on file within 15 business days.

What does a negative invoice amount mean?

If your final invoice shows a negative amount, this means we owe you that amount. We'll process your refund on your next billing cycle date. You'll automatically receive this credit to your card on file.

Can I reactivate my line?

If you'd like to reactivate your line, please contact Gabb Support.

Can I keep my phone number after I cancel my line with Gabb?

The only way you can keep your phone number after canceling is if you transfer your phone number to another carrier. If you do transfer your phone number to another carrier, leave your Gabb line active until the line is automatically canceled, otherwise the transfer won't work.

Will getting a new SIM card affect my contract with Gabb?

No, replacing the SIM card does not affect your contract with Gabb.

Are there any fees for transferring my phone number to another carrier?

There is no fee to transfer your Gabb phone number to another carrier, but you may be charged an Early Termination Fee (ETF), depending on your contract status with us.

Should I disconnect my Gabb line before I transfer it to another carrier?

No, you should not disconnect your Gabb line before transferring it to another carrier. After your phone number is no longer active, it cannot be transferred. To ensure that the transfer goes through, keep your Gabb line active. We'll cancel your line with us automatically once the transfer is complete.

Can I use my Gabb device with another carrier?

No, you can't use a Gabb Phone or Gabb Watch with another carrier. Our devices are designed to only work on our network; however, you can start a new Gabb line with an old Gabb device.
