1. On the left navigation bar, Click "Pantry". Then Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner. Click "+Create Recipe" to create a new recipe. Ensure all recipe ingredients are in your pantry before creating recipes.
2. The "Recipe Code" field can be used for custom or established IDs when transferring data. Each new recipe and version will always receive a unique system-generated code.
3. Select the "Process Type" from the available options. Each option is associated with a set of HACCPs that will be available to use in the Instructions tab. This is a required field.
4. The "Name on Production" field is required for entering the name used on internal menus and production records. The "Name on Portal" field is for the name displayed on public-facing menus like websites and digital boards.
5. Use the "Standard Serving Size" field to enter the recipe measurement amount.
6. Then select the measurement unit from the "Unit" dropdown.
7. Use the "Yield" field to enter the total number of servings that a recipe will produce.
8. Click "Create Recipe" in the bottom right corner. Now you can access the "Nutrition", "Instructions" & "Ingredient Statement" tabs.
9. Click on the "Nutrition" tab and select "+ Add Ingredient" to add an ingredient already listed in your pantry database. Do this for each ingredient in the recipe.
10. Enter the measurement amount and unit of each ingredient.
11. Only activated units for the Food Item will be available for selection in the Recipe. For instance, if the Turkey Taco Filling item base amount is in grams and no weight-to-volume conversion exists in the system, only gram units will be selectable on the recipe page.
12. Add all remaining ingredients by clicking on the "+ Add Ingredient" button again and selecting each required ingredient from your pantry list.
13. To remove an incorrect ingredient, click the 6 dots to the left of the item and click "Remove from recipe." After removal, you can add the correct ingredient by following the previous steps, ensuring recipe accuracy.
14. Ensure all ingredients are complete and correct before proceeding. Your work is automatically saved on these tabs. Click the "Instructions" tab after all ingredients are added and amounts per serving are entered.
15. On the Instructions tab, enter your recipe instructions in the field. Highlight the food item in the recipe instructions, then Click "Ingredient" in the upper right corner, and select the food item to tag it.
16. Click "HACCP" in the upper right corner to select temperature and holding instructions. After you've completed the fields on the right, hit Return on your keyboard, then click outside of the pop-up box to close it.
17. The "Ingredient Statement" tab is optional. You can copy & paste Ingredient lists into this field.
18. Click "Publish Recipe" in the bottom right corner to make this recipe available for use.
