Please note this is an additional module which can be purchased. To check the price or find out if you have this module, please contact us.

Who is it for?

For the most intensive situations, we offer the Gatekeeper Intensive

Cropping module option. With this module you can take a main or split field

and further sub-divide it into as many plots or beds as is required.

Each Plot can hold discreet crop/variety and application records, but you

can easily treat many plots with one application when necessary. With

Gatekeeper you can set-up and manage plots with the minimum of fuss.

Advantages include:

  • Verification at an individual plot level

  • Financial margin report can be generated for individual plots grouped by variety, crop or other filter such as planting date, harvest date or growing method.

  • Easier way to report on similar crop records at a more granular level

What is the Intensive Cropping module?

The module is available for Growers and Agronomists involved in the

management and recommendation of:

  • Salads

  • Vegetables

  • Fruit

  • Horticultural crops

How does it work?

Standard Gatekeeper provides a user with the ability to record crop

applications to a whole and part-field level. Whole and part-fields can be

re-used in subsequent cropping seasons.

With Intensive Cropping applied, a user has the ability to divide a whole or

part-field into three further levels: Lane, Bed and Sub-bed. A speed-builder

tool allows intensive cropped areas to be created quickly and easily based

on plot area, length or width. It even caters for multiple cropping sequences

in the same year.

Gatekeeper’s second area unit of metres ensures that applications, areas

and rates are inline with the practical methods applied on intensively

cropped areas. When planning or recording work, individual or multiple plots

can be selected based on crop, variety, descriptor or Tag filters.

How does it work?

With this module you have the additional setup option for plots:

Within there you can use the speed-builder tool to cerate plots based on the number, width, area and length of the plots:

Plots can carry specific details such as planting period and descriptions:

With Intensive plots applied, users have the ability to work with individual or multiple plots. Simply select the plots you wish to view as per this example which shows all operations on the Lollo Rosso Lettuce plots planted in Week 10.
