Data Access

Data Collected

Gatheround collects data in three ways: through authentication, Google Calendar integration, and direct input from users. The following data is collected and stored:

  • Basic user information (names, email addresses)

  • Meeting details (meeting names, dates, times, agendas)

  • Meeting-related content (recaps, recordings, transcripts, and messages generated or shared on the platform)

Data Retention Policy

Data is retained indefinitely but can be deleted upon customer request. Gatheround’s privacy policy states that a user's personal data, such as their name and email address, can be deleted upon request if the user contacts hello@gatheround.com. Bulk deletion of data at the organization level is not currently supported.

Data Encryption

We store our application data in the Google Cloud Platform and benefit from their world-class safety and security, which includes encryption at rest and in transit. Product database backups are performed daily using the Google Cloud Platform.

Calendar Data

Gatheround offers an integration with Google Calendar through the Google API. If you choose to use this integration, you give us permission to transfer and use information from your Google Calendar to provide services to you.

The transfer and use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including limited use requirements.

Security

Gatheround is hosted on the Google Cloud Platform, so we leverage their native security tools. We use Google’s OAuth to sign in via Google Accounts. We also support signing in via your company SSO via SAML 2.0 (for enterprise customers), or by email magic link verification.

Privacy

We take user privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy is outlined here and you can review our terms of service here.
