Membership Fees

Chip has two different membership plans - Chip and ChipX. ChipX costs £5.99 per 28 days, or £65.05 when paid annually (reducing the cost to £4.99 per 28 days). This monthly fee makes ChipX users exempt from any other usage fees including a 0% platform fee when investing.

Please note that for investments, annual management fees still apply.

For information about what the membership plans include, please visit our website here.

The Chip membership plan is designed to be more of a "pay-as-you-go" approach and does not have any monthly cost, but is subject to usage fees as detailed below.

Usage Fees

If you're on the free Chip membership plan, you will be subject to the following service fees:

Transaction

Cost

Notes

Autosave

£0.45 each

The charge will be taken from the transaction itself.

Example: If you autosave £5.50, £5.05 reaches your account and £0.45 is taken by Chip.

Investment Platform Fee

0.25% (min £1 per month)

The charge will be taken directly from your investment balance. This fee is per investment account you hold. For example, if you hold a General Investment Account and a Stocks and Shares ISA, you will be charged a separate platform fee for each account.
