Keeping your personal details up-to-date is simple and ensures your overall Chip account runs smoothly!
You can check your current details at any time by visiting the Personal details section on the Profile tab.
Changing your address
You can update your address yourself directly in the app:
Head to the Profile tab and select Personal details.
Tap on Your address.
Enter your new postcode and select your address from the options provided.
Changing your name, email, or phone number
To ensure your account security, our support team will need to update these details for you.
Please contact us via the in-app chat (found in the Contact us section on the Profile tab) and provide the following:

Decree Absolute/Divorce Certificate (if this does not show the new name, please send a photo of your ID that shows your new name)

Email address | Both the old and new email addresses, a form of ID, and a recent selfie for verification. |
Phone number | Both the old and new numbers, a form of ID, and a recent selfie for verification. |
We can also quickly fix any incorrect details (like a typo in your name) if you contact our support team.
Middle names
Including your middle name is optional; you're welcome to just use your full first and surname.
If you'd like to add your middle name, please send us a photo of your ID (Passport, EU National Identity Card, or UK Driving Licence) via the in-app chat. The ID must show your full name.
Important things to bear in mind
We accept Passports, EU National Identity Cards, or UK Driving Licences (front and back) as forms of ID.
Only original photographs of IDs are accepted; scans and screenshots are not valid.
We need to see all four corners of any IDs or documents you send us.
First and last names must match your legal identity (middle names are optional).
Documents must be submitted in English or include an official translation.
