enter answers; enter a fraction; hot keys

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Each of the symbol icons under the work space offers different options.

To submit an answer, a student clicks enter or the green checkmark.

To enter fractions, a student clicks the fraction button.

For a shortcut to enter parentheses, a student clicks the button.

For an exponent, the student chooses the exponent key.

For a radical symbol, a student clicks the radical button. The implied root is 2.

To enter the greater than, less than, greater than or equal to, or less than or equal to symbols, the student clicks the button and then makes a choice from the options.

For absolute value, bases, pi, or trig functions, the student clicks the corresponding key.

There are some hot keys in GMM as well. These keystrokes will save your students some time.
