$ signs and what they represent

Updated over a month ago

The $ signs prioritize practice for students.

The $ signs are placed by GMM and indicate the skills that a student needs to practice.

GMM places the $ signs based on the student's previous practice.

White, red, or yellow squares will have a $ sign more frequently than a green, silver star, or gold star square. Remember, students will continue to practice all concepts in Spiral Review. In GMM, students do not level up to gold star and stop practicing a skill. They will not practice the gold star squares as often as the yellow squares, but they must continue to maintain their level of understanding to keep the gold star.

Only $ sign squares are worth a point. Squares without a $ sign are not eligible for a point.

To earn a point, a student must solve the problem for the $ sign on the first try.

If a student does not solve a $ sign problem on the first try, the student must correct the mistake. After correcting a mistake, the student will have a fresh problem with another opportunity to earn a point.

After solving a problem correctly, Get More Math automatically moves the student to the next problem that they need to practice.
