When students do not complete an exam before the end of class and teachers want to prevent students from continuing the exam outside of class, the Pause Exam button allows teachers to take back an exam or stop the exam. Students may continue at a later time, if the teacher allows.
To take back the exam from the students, the teacher clicks the Pause Exam button.
By clicking PAUSE EXAM, a teacher 'takes back' the exam from all students who have a status of In Progress. GMM pauses the exam for the students who have a status of In Progress.
To allow students to continue the exam:
Choose Exams from the middle column.
Ensure the Show and Auto-Accept sliders for the exam are green (on).
Students will have the message to Begin Exam or may choose Exams & Follow-ups from their student menus.
When students complete the exam, they will choose Hand In Exam.
