What is the Show Answer button?

Show Answer feature; replace problem button; how is the show answer button different from skips?

Updated over a week ago

Have you seen the Show Answer button on a student's screen and wondered how it works?

When students are working, they may get stuck on a problem if they do not have teacher assistance. Show Answer allows a student to view GMM's expected answer and replaces their current problem with a similar one. Using Show Answer removes orange cut corners and penalties as well.

From CLASSES > Settings, teachers control the number of replacements that are available to each student in the class for each day.

To adjust replacements for the class:

  1. Choose CLASSES from the blue ribbon.

  2. Choose a class from the left column.

  3. Choose Settings from the gray column.

  4. Scroll to Student Help.

  5. Adjust the number of problem replacements per day.

Using a problem replacement allows a student to view GMM's expected answer and have a fresh problem from that skill code.

From CLASSES > Roster, teachers control the number of replacements that are available to an individual student each day.

To adjust replacements for an individual student:

  1. Choose CLASSES from the blue ribbon.

  2. Choose a class from the left column.

  3. Choose Roster from the gray column.

  4. Scroll to Student Settings.

  5. Adjust the number of problem replacements per day.
