Updated over 5 months ago

What is the Needing attention filter?

  • The needing attention filter is one of the many useful filters our meez app offers to help keep track of the recipes and ingredients that have not been fully completed.

  • You can find the needing attention filter by clicking on the filter icon on the far right of either the Recipe or Ingredient tab pages.

  • Once you click on the filter button, you will see all the option you can filter your recipes or ingredients by. Click the drop down arrow next to needing attention.

The Recipe tab and Ingredients tab will have different options to filter by in the needing attention filter.

From the Recipe tab, the needing attention filter will have three categories to filter by.

  • Empty Recipes

    • Clicking this filter will show you every recipe that is completely empty and just has a title.

  • Missing Total Yield

    • This shows you each of your recipes that you have not entered a total yield. Yields are important for recipe costing and for other features of the app to work correctly. Finding which recipes are missing a yield and filling them is essential.

  • Contain Undefined Ingredients

    • These recipes are one that current have an ingredient with an error on them needing to be defined and added to your account as new ingredients. If an ingredient isn't defined then cost information cannot be added to it.

On the Ingredients tab you will find three different types of important things to filter by.

  • Unused Ingredients

    • This is the list of ingredients on your account not currently on a recipe.

  • Missing Cost

    • These ingredients are all lacking cost information of any kind.

  • No Vendor Purchase Associated

    • This filter shows which ingredients have not been linked to a purchase item. Through our invoice processing feature or importing purchase items cost by spreadsheet, you can link ingredients to purchased items. When using this filter you will see all the ingredients not currently linked to any purchased items.

    • This is designated by having the Item ID# section on the ingredient filled in. If you manually enter costs and manually fill in the item ID# then the ingredient also will not show up on this filtered list.

Will show up when filtered.

Will not show up on filtered list.

  • Having a red error icon next to the name of the ingredient will also designate that the ingredient will appear on the No vendor purchase associated list.

Taking the time to examine and address the recipes and ingredients on both of your Needing attention lists will help you to have completed recipes and ingredients. Enabling you to fully utilize all of the great features meez has to offer.
