The Playtomic levels are updated manually from the playtomic team on a monthly basis to make the matches as balanced as possible.

For example, if we find players above level 6, everyone's level is lowered, as this level is reserved for professional players only. The maximum level for amateur players is 5.5, so this will be the maximum level a user can have.

What is the new level based on?

The new level is set on the basis of the latest results of each player, depending on the level of the partner, the level of the opponents and the result obtained.

For example, a victory or defeat in three sets or two sets with a tie-break, will indicate that your level is very close to your opponents and if this is not the case, a change will be made.

In the same way, if the victory or defeat is by a large score, the level of the participants varies upwards or downwards depending on whether it is a victory or a defeat, and if it is not the case, the change is done in the same way.

Why is the level changed only for some players and not for others?

We are working on changing as many levels as possible, we always start with the highest levels and work our way down to 0, we have more than 2m users, so some take longer than others.

Why are there still non-professionals with scores above 5.5?

Changes will continue to be made progressively to all players at this level, but we cannot define a date when all changes will be made.

Will the levels of players above 5.5 be always changed?

No, the change will be made only once up to 5.5 with high reliability, if the player, on his own merits, goes up, his level will not be changed anymore.
