Adding events

Use event details to power pre-show meeting booking and post-show follow-up campaigns.

Events are a unique knowledge entry type — they are time-bound and specific to a campaign purpose. The Pre-trade show meeting booking agent uses your event entry to write outreach that is directly tied to the event: who will be there, when, where, and why a meeting before or during the event is valuable.

What counts as an event?

  • Trade shows and industry conferences. Events you are attending to meet prospects. The classic use case: book 10 meetings before you travel.

  • Events you are exhibiting at or sponsoring. Use the event name and your booth number as a hook in outreach messages.

  • Events you are organising. Roundtables, webinars, customer dinners. Use the Knowledge Base to run invite campaigns for your own events.

  • Events you are speaking at. Speaking slots are social proof. Use them as a hook: “I’m speaking at X about Y — would love to connect beforehand.”

How to add an event

  1. Go to Knowledge in the left navigation.

  2. Click Add entry → Event.

  3. Paste the URL of the event’s website or registration page.

  4. GetReplies scrapes the event page and extracts: event name, date, location, key themes, and notable speakers.

  5. Review and edit the entry — add any context the page didn’t have, like your booth number, speaking slot, or specific sessions you’ll attend.

  6. Click Mark as final when it’s ready.

Using the event entry in a post-show campaign

After the event, you can use the same event entry to run a post-show follow-up campaign. The Post-trade show engagement agent references the event as shared context — “Great to meet at Dreamforce last week” — which dramatically improves reply rates compared to a generic follow-up.

You don’t need to create a new entry for the post-show campaign. The same event entry works for both the pre-show booking agent and the post-show engagement agent.
