Your Gmail account may show as connected in GetReplies but still fail to send or receive emails. This is a different issue from the initial connection health error — and it points specifically to the App Password being wrong, expired, or entered incorrectly.
Symptoms of this issue
Account shows as connected (green) but emails are not going out.
Campaign is running but no sends are being logged.
You see a "Send failed" or "Authentication failed" error in the account health details.
Replies from prospects are not showing up in GetReplies.
Why this happens
The App Password may have been:
Entered with spaces — Google generates the password as 4 groups of 4 characters (e.g.
abcd efgh ijkl mnop). If you pasted it including the spaces, authentication will fail for sending even if the account appears connected.Revoked — Google can revoke App Passwords if you change your main password or revoke all app access.
Generated for the wrong Google account — If you manage multiple Google accounts, confirm the App Password was generated for the exact Gmail address you're trying to connect.
How to fix it
Go to Accounts in GetReplies and click on the Gmail account showing send/receive issues.
Note the exact Gmail address.
Log into that Gmail account in your browser → Manage Google Account → search for App passwords.
Delete the existing App Password for GetReplies and create a new one.
Copy the new 16-character password and remove all spaces before using it.
Back in GetReplies → Accounts → delete the problematic Gmail account.
Re-add it using the fresh App Password.
Quick check: paste into Notepad first
Before entering the App Password into GetReplies, paste it into a plain text editor and manually remove the spaces between the 4 character groups. The final string should be exactly 16 characters with no spaces.
Still not working?
If send/receive continues to fail after re-entering a fresh App Password, check that IMAP is enabled in your Gmail settings:
Open Gmail → click the gear icon → See all settings.
Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Under IMAP access, select Enable IMAP and save.
