Ways to Track Referrals
You may generate a majority of your leads and new business by word of mouth or by particular clients you have been loyal in referring you business.
In order to track referrals, here are a few key ways you can do this. You may use one or both to accurately reflect this in Trail:
Set a custom "Referred" tag as a Profile Source so that you can mark on the Profile level for the new client, how they were generated. Here is how to create this tag.

How to add a Referrer to a Profile
1. Go to the client's Profile
You can do this by using the search bar in the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the green Add Contact button
This is found in the Contacts box, on the left-hand side of the Profile.
3. Select whether the referrer is a new or existing Contact
If the referrer is not in Trail, you'll need to select New Person, and then fill out some basic contact details. If the referrer is already in Trail, select Existing Contact, and search for the name of the referrer.
4. Select the Contact's relationship to the Profile
In this drop-down box, you'll need to select Referrer.
From here, you'll easily be able to see the details of the referrer while on that client's Profile.
