When you are sending an invitation email to a client from Trail, for a variety of reasons the email may not send properly, and a coloured banner will appear on the screen.

These banners could appear for any of the following reasons:

  • Your client's email address is incorrect - Please double check that what you have typed into Trail has no incorrect spelling or characters that don't belong in an email address eg. >,?*-

  • You have changed your email password - Changing your email password will mean that Trail will stop pulling through your emails. You'll have to reintegrate your email to ensure this works properly.

  • Your email integration has expired - After some time, your integration with Gmail or Outlook will expire, due to security reasons. If you receive this orange error message, simply reintegrate your email.

  • Your email address hasn't integrated yet - when you first integrate your email with Trail, then sometimes, the Microsoft API can take a while to connect properly, meaning that you may have to hold back on sending the emails until Microsoft has integrated from their end.

If none of the above reasons could explain why you can't send an email from Trail, then please get in touch with us using the blue chat button, or email us on support@gettrail.com and we would be more than happy to look into why this is occurring.
