You may need to upload application or advice-related documents for your client if for any reason your client cannot access Trail's online Client Portal to upload them, or you would prefer to upload these yourself.
You may also have cases of needing to remove documents a client has uploaded for you by mistake or uploaded the wrong file!
Trail offers easy ways to upload, categorize and remove your client's documents within their Profile - in the Documents page - and this easily links to active applications to lenders!

Where to Access Documents
Within a client's profile - navigate to their Documents page here - and then to Uploaded Files to get to where to upload Documents.
You will need to click "Update Requested Documents" to get the list of required documents, if there isn't a list there already or if the list looks outdated to you. What this does is pull in what documents are needed based on the client's Fact Find/ Position.
Getting this list updated will make categorizing the documents easier π
How to Upload Documents
With uploading documents - navigate to the "Uploaded Files" page.
Here you can either:
Select the green "Upload Files" button to open the window to select (multiple) documents from your computer to upload -
βOR you can directly click and drag (multiple) documents into the general area of this page which will turn blue. Let go of the hold to drop the documents in:
Review Documents
You'll then be asked to sort and review the uploaded documents:

How to Remove Client Documents
Trail does not let clients, via the Client Portal, to remove documents they have already uploaded. This means another common request could be that the client has uploaded a document by mistake or would like to replace a document with the correct one.
To remove a document for them, click into the Document you want removed:
Then click the bin icon at the top right corner here:
There will be a pop up to confirm this, and once you click "Confirm Delete" - the document is permanently removed from Trail. Please be sure with this deletion, as Trail will not be able to retrieve it again.
