In this article, you will learn how to link applications.

Linking applications is used to show a situation where a client requires their applications to be placed concurrently with different lenders as a part of the same transaction. It will make it easier to illustrate to one lender that there is another application in progress that the current application relies on.

Once you have both applications completed, navigate to the ‘Funding Details’ page of one application, and click on the ‘Link Applications’ button.

You will then be asked to select an existing application or create a new one to be linked.

Select the application you wish to link and click ‘Link’.

You’ll now be able to see information about each application in the funding details section. The light blue selection in the ‘Application Type’ is representative of the application you are currently viewing. You can switch between applications at the top of the page.

The ‘Update Applications’ button allows you to link or unlink applications. Click the button and unselect the application you wish to unlink or select another application to be linked, and click ‘Link’.

Specifying securities in linked applications

You will want to specify which bank will be holding any potential properties as security. Under the security section of the funding details page, you can specify which bank holds the property/properties by clicking or double-clicking the selected security. Here is an example of this:

Pay attention to the bank that the application is being applied to. In this case, the application is going to be sent to ASB, therefore the LVR calculations won’t be correct when ANZ is selected.

Winning linked applications

When winning an opportunity with a linked application, there will be an option at the end of the ‘Win Application’ page to select a linked application. Selecting this will win the selected opportunities as well.
