How to Connect your Microsoft Outlook Email Integration

Set up your email integration with your Microsoft Office 365 or Outlook email

You can easily connect your Microsoft Outlook or Office 365 email to Trail using OAuth2, Microsoft’s recommended and most secure authentication method. This allows Trail to send and receive emails on your behalf without needing your password.

Before You Start

  • Make sure you are logged in to Trail

  • Ensure you know your Microsoft Outlook / Office 365 email and password

  • Pop-ups must be allowed in your browser

Step 1: Go to Email Integration Settings

  1. In Trail, click Settings

  2. Select Email Integration

Click Connect with Microsoft / Outlook

Step 2: Sign in to Microsoft

  1. A new Microsoft login window will open

  2. Enter your Outlook / Office 365 email address

  3. Click Next

  4. Enter your password

Click Sign in

Step 3: Grant Permission

  1. Microsoft will ask for permission to connect Trail to your email

  2. Click Yes to allow access

This step is required so Trail can send, receive, and log emails securely.

Step 4: Confirm Successful Connection

  • You will be redirected back to Trail

  • You should now see a confirmation message indicating that your email has been successfully connected

That’s it — your Outlook email is now integrated with Trail
