For Insurance Advice processes, learn more about the two types of Fact Find links you can send that will affect whether your client completes only a Fact Find, or continues on to a more detailed questionnaire of what specific cover they want in the Needs Analysis! πŸ‘

In this article you will learn:

  • What is a Fact Find + Needs Analysis?
    - Reasons for Fact Find Only
    - Reasons for Fact Find + Needs Analysis

  • When and Where to set this?

What is a Fact Find + Needs Analysis?

In Trail for clients being sent the Fact Find link for Insurance Advice - it could either be a link to:

  • Complete the Fact Find portion only OR

  • To complete the Fact Find + Needs Analysis, which gets the client to also indicate what cover they would like as part of this advice.

There are advantages and disadvantages to consider of both -

Reasons you may want to send a Fact Find Only

  • This means that you can review the Fact Find first, and then do the Needs Analysis WITH the client after that.

  • Needs Analysis could be difficult for a client to fill out especially if this is their first time getting personal insurance; not overwhelming them with too much in an online questionnaire - particularly if your clients are not as technology savvy and/ or need more guidance on this.

Reasons you may want to send a Fact Find + Needs Analysis

  • Your client does everything in one go - all in one! This could be great way to gather an indicative perspective and basic information from your client before sitting down and talking it through.

  • You can preempt what is the Needs Analysis in the email to your client and allow your client to have a go even if it is their first time getting insurance advice.
This gives you some indication of what they are after and you can always speak about their answers and make any changes in a meeting with them afterwards.

When and Where to set this?

You will be asked to decide whether you want a "Fact Find Only" or a "Fact Find + Needs Analysis" whenever you FIRST create an Opportunity:

Where to Change this Option?

When you send a Fact Find, and if you can't remember what you set it as or would like to change this, you can click into the Insurance Advice Opportunity under "Applications" -

Then go to the Opportunity Summary page where you can view this & send OR change it to be the other - Just use the drop-down to select what you would like!

After that you can then send the Fact Find once you're sure what kind of link your client will recieve πŸ‘
