Your weekly brief

What the weekly brief is, when it arrives, what goes into it, and why it costs you nothing.

Your weekly brief arrives once a week, on Monday morning unless you change it. It tells you what moved in your niche over the past week, and gives you your version of it.

It is included with Vamos on every plan. It never spends your credits and it does not count against your allowance.

What it watches

Four things, all of them yours:

  • The creators you follow.

  • The wider feed for your niche.

  • Formats that are climbing.

  • Your own posts, read from the handle you added in My Brand.

All four are scoped to what you set up, which is why a short list of creators produces a thin brief.

What it needs before it runs

Two things switch it on: your own handle added in My Brand, and at least five creators tracked. Until both are in place, the Weekly brief tab in Settings shows only a checklist of what is missing.

Each week's email then needs material from both sides: at least three new posts on one of your own accounts, and at least ten new posts with an outlier score from the creators you follow and your niche. Both count only from the last 14 days, and nothing your last brief covered counts again.

Short of that, the app shows a quiet week and no email goes out. Without your own account added there is nothing of yours to measure, and the run says so instead of sending a half brief.

What arrives

Up to five things worth acting on. Not a digest of everything that happened.

That is a deliberate limit. A brief that lists forty posts is a feed, and you already have one of those. Three findings you can act on before Wednesday is worth more than a complete record of the week.

Each finding comes from one of four places:

Source

What it means

Outlier

A post from someone you watch that beat their own normal by a wide margin

In your niche

Something moving in your space that nobody you track has posted

Format

A structure that is picking up

Your post

One of yours that did unusually well

Every finding comes with a prompt attached. Tapping Make this in Vamos opens a new chat with that prompt already typed in, so acting on a brief is one tap and Send rather than retyping the context.

What it costs

Nothing. No credits, on any plan, including free.

This is the one part of Vamos that runs without spending anything, which is why it is worth setting up even if you are watching your credit balance.

Changing when it arrives

Settings, then Weekly brief. It has its own tab, and there is a shortcut to it in the user menu in the sidebar. You can change the day, the time and the time zone.

Settings, Weekly brief tab: “Next brief” date with the on/off switch, “Schedule” set to Monday 09:51, empty Past briefs

The email goes to the workspace owner's account address only, and every brief also stays in the app. Each email has its own unsubscribe link, which stops the email for that address but not the brief.

You can also pause it, with the switch beside Next brief. Pausing stops new briefs arriving and leaves the ones you already have in place.

Nothing else arrives

The brief is the only thing Vamos sends you without being asked, and it arrives on the schedule you set.

There are no alerts. Not when one of your posts does well, not when a creator you watch posts something big, not when a format starts climbing. All of that reaches you in the brief, or on the page when you open it.

When nothing arrives

Some weeks there is not enough to read, and the brief says so rather than padding itself out. A quiet week means the material was missing: fewer than three new posts of your own, or not enough new from the creators you follow and your niche.

If that keeps happening, the cause is almost always the inputs.

  • Your own handle added

  • Three new posts of your own between briefs

  • Five creators at the very least and ten or more in practice

  • Content topics specific enough to exclude things
