Add a Content Pack to a Project

How to add content from the Content Library to your project in Giraffe v6 — importing packs, selecting individual items, and using hover actions.

Drop proven assumptions into a new site study in seconds. Add a whole content pack, like your standard usage set, or only the one flow or layer you need from it.

Get a pack from a listing

On the Workspace or Marketplace tab, click Get on a pack's listing to add its contents to your project. For a layer or app, the button reads Open when the item is already in your project.

Import a whole pack

  1. Click a pack's listing to open its details.

  2. Click Import All.

  3. Answer any prompts about matching usages or analytics.

If a usage in the pack has the same name as one in your project, Giraffe asks whether to keep yours or replace it. If the pack's analytics grouping or charts differ from your project's, Giraffe asks whether to keep or replace them. Geometries in the pack land at the center of your screen.

🚨 Warning: Choosing to replace overwrites the matching usages, grouping, or charts in your project.

Import only part of a pack

  1. Click a pack's listing to open its details.

  2. Open the Contents tab and expand a content type.

  3. Hover over an item to show its actions.

  4. Click the action you want.

    • Click + to add the item to your project.

    • Click the eyedropper to copy the item's properties, then click a geometry to apply them.

    • Click the polygon icon to draw with the item.

To change, rename, or remove content once it's in your project, use the Project tab. The The Project Tab in Content Library article covers each action.
