Find Sites

Search for parcels in plain English and build a shortlist on the map

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

Describe the land you need the way you'd brief a broker. Sites turns that description into a shortlist of parcels on the map.

Sites is in beta. Have feedback? We'd love to hear it.

Search for sites

  1. Open the Find sites tab.

  2. Type what you're looking for in the box, or click one of the example searches.

  3. Press Enter to send.

Giraffe AI adds the matching parcels to the map as a shortlist layer. It returns up to 1,000 parcels. It then suggests 2 to 4 ways to narrow the search.

Further refine the results by filtering the data table or replying to the chat.

Every search runs against the Parcel source in Settings in Sites. The default is the Australian cadastre. Choose Regrid (US parcels) to search in the US. The parcel source applies to everyone who uses Sites in that Space.

Example searches in Australia:

  • Parcels in NSW over 5,000 m² zoned R2

  • Industrial-zoned land in VIC over 1 hectare

  • NSW parcels zoned R3 with 20 m+ frontage

Example searches in the US:

  • Find sites in Travis County zoned residential over 10 acres

  • Large industrial parcels in Dallas County

  • Vacant multifamily-zoned lots in Austin over 2 acres

Site search runs through Giraffe AI, so it needs an Anthropic credential. US searches also need a Regrid credential. Australian searches need no parcel credential. Pick both credentials in Settings in Sites.

Go straight to an address

Type "Take me to" and an address, such as "Take me to 200 George St, Sydney." The map flies to that address and selects the parcel.

Find sites or filter the map

Giraffe AI treats "find" and "filter" differently.

  • Words like find, search, show, or list build a new shortlist layer of matching parcels.

  • Words like filter, hide, or only show dim the parcels on the current map that don't match.

When a map filter is active, a Map filter note appears in the Find sites tab. Click Clear to remove it. When the map shows a shortlist, click Back to and the parcel source name to return to the full parcel layer.
