Space Settings

Rename a Space, edit its boundary, set defaults for new projects, or delete it

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

Space Settings holds the details of the Space itself: its name, description, boundary, and the defaults for new projects made from it.

Spaces are available on Enterprise plans.

Open Space Settings

Inside a Space, open the Space menu in the top bar and choose Space Settings. It opens as a panel tab.

Everything in Space Settings saves automatically. Name and description save when you click away.

Name and description

  • Click the Space name at the top to rename it.

  • Type in Description to add notes about the Space.

Space boundary

Click Edit Space Boundary to open the boundary editor. It works the same way as a project's. See Edit the Boundary.

Defaults

  • Default Active Layer: the layer that's selected when someone opens the Space, like your portfolio layer.

  • Default Template: the template new projects start from when they're created in this Space. Without one, new projects start blank.

  • Units: feet or meters, for the measuring tools in the Space.

No default template set? An info icon next to New Project in the Space reminds you. Click it to open Space Settings.

Who has access

The avatars next to Created show who the Space is shared with. See Share a Space.

Delete the Space

Click Delete space under Danger zone, then confirm. Only Space admins can delete a Space.

🚨 Warning: Deleting a Space can't be undone.
