Open the Usage Editor to Edit a Usage.

Select Usage to edit

All usages in the project are displayed in this dropdown list. Select one from the list to edit it.

Edit Property Values

Edit the values of properties on the Usage to change your assumptions.

To edit a value, type a new value into the form.

Clear the property value to reset to the default.

Add property

Add another property to the usage by clicking “+ property”.

Scroll the list or type a value in the search box to find the property you would like to add. You can add multiple properties before you close the window.

When clicked, properties are added to the form for the selected Usage.

Click off of the properties list to close it.

If the property does not exist, you will be prompted to create Custom Properties if desired. Custom Properties will appear at the end of the list in the Analytics category.

Delete a Property

Click the X to the right of a property to delete it from the Usage.

Save changes

Click the save icon to save your changes.

Clicking save instantly applies all of the current Usage's property values to all geometries with that Usage, obeying usage<>property hierarchies.

Most changes in Giraffe are saved instantly. However, Usages must be manually saved.

If you try to navigate away from the Usage editor without saving, you'll be prompted to confirm:

  • Cancel : Return to current Usage Editor page

  • Discard : Discard all changes to the selected Usage

  • Save and Change; Save changes to current Usage and navigate to new screen
