The first-ever national giving day dedicated to Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), DAF Day, is happening on October 10th. If you’re participating, make sure you’re included on the DAF Day giving page! This involves two key actions:

  1. Register for your account with Chariot

  2. List your organization on the DAF Day page

Part 1: Register for your account with Chariot

If you haven't already created a Chariot account, you can get started in just a few minutes for free.

Note: Creating a free Chariot account will not automatically enable DAFpay on your donation forms.

There are 2 ways for a nonprofit to get access to DAFpay. The first is through one of our many integration partners. For these gifts, DAFpay is 100% free to get started. There is a 2.9% processing fee per gift, which can be paid by the nonprofit or covered by the donor, depending on the platform & nonprofit preferences.

DAFpay is also available through a direct subscription with Chariot. These subscription plans start at $450/mo and come with DAFpay donations with zero processing fees. To learn more about our pricing, see here.

Step 1: Register with your email and create a password. Get started here

Make sure to register with your organization's work email (i.e., example@redcross.org) to streamline the onboarding process. Registration with a non-work email can result in verification delays.

Step 2: Verify your email address

Check your inbox and click the link in the verification email. If you don't see the email after several minutes, make sure to check your spam folder.

Step 3: Build your nonprofit profile

To build your nonprofit profile, please provide your name, contact details, and search for the nonprofit organization that you would like to register with.

When you click "Next", Chariot will automatically verify that the email address you used to create your account matches the web domain we have on file for the organization.

Note: If you cannot find your nonprofit organization listed on our system, this is likely because your nonprofit record is not listed on the GuideStar database. To proceed, you’ll need an up-to-date GuideStar profile. Read more about claiming your GuideStar profile here.

Step 4: Finish setting up your account

User Verification: If the email address you used to register does not match the web domain we have on file for the organization, you will see the following Notice banner in your dashboard.

Please wait 1-3 days for your profile to be approved by our accounts team or create a new account with a work email associated with listed domain.

That's it! You can now use your Chariot dashboard to view and manage all DAFpay gifts made in support of your organization anywhere online.

Note: While there’s no obligation to enable DAFpay after claiming your account, integrating DAFpay into your donation forms is the best way to convert any donor you engage on DAF Day.

DAFpay is available for no upfront cost through one of our many integration partners. To learn more about our pricing, see here.

Part 2: List your organization on the DAF Day page

Once you've signed up for your Chariot account, you will see a new DAF Day banner at the top with a call to action (CTA) to get listed on our DAF Day giving page. Listing your organization here will allow any participating donor to easily search for and support your cause.

To get listed on our DAF Day page, navigate to "Account Settings", go to the “Organization” tab and identify the two sections with the DAF Day icon next to them ("Organization logo" and "DAF Day Donation URL"). Make sure to add both of these to get listed on the DAF Day page.

That's it! Your organization will now appear on the DAF Day donation website and leaderboard.
