Widget URL and Referring URL

The Widget URL is the URL that the user was on at the time of their form submission.

The Referring URL is the URL that the user was on before they landed on the page with the GiveGab Enterprise form embedded on it.

We add in the Webpage URL column to our default report, but you can add in the Referring Webpage URL column by clicking the +ADD COLUMN icon in your report configuration:

From there, you can set the category to 'Response Details' and select 'Referring URL' as the column:

*Note: if you are creating a custom report and need to drop in the Widget URL, you will see this option there as well.

It is important to note that we are not capturing these URLs directly from our form widget; they are being communicated from the user's web browser. This may result in a few conditions where this will render blank results. Depending on the user's privacy settings within their own web browser, they can mask this, which will prevent us from seeing it. Additionally, if you are utilizing links within email blasts, the users are loading the form URL from their email client. Several email clients, such as Outlook, do not give us the option to track that information.

To better capture this type of information such as source codes, UTM codes, etc. we recommend utilizing our Automatic Data Capture tool that can be referenced here at this documentation.
