To learn more about the Multi-Give feature within Enterprise, please review this article.

Form V2 Multi-Give Enhancements

With Form V2 and the Multi-Give feature, you have more options available when it comes to highlighting and selecting fund designations from your full listing added to the platform. This allows you to guide donors to specific fund designations, and takes the manual work of searching done by the donors without having to create separate forms for each fund designation grouping.

This can be done with our new URL parameters of kwoDCPreselect= and kwoDCFilter=, followed by the KDC values for your funds.

Note: KDC Values are the platform assigned values to the fund designations that you upload in our platform. They can be seen within the Donation Categories menu and are a part of any export of the categories that you do:

Preselect

The Preselect parameter is used to pre-populate the fund designations on the form for the donor.

For example: If your community is having an art appreciation week and you want to encourage donors to give to specific art-related fund designations, you can use the Preselect parameter to pre-populate them on the form for the donors to easily give to. This highlights the fund designations and takes out the manual work for the donor to search for and select them.

To use the Preselect parameter, all you need is:

  1. The URL of where the Multi-Give form is embedded

  2. kwoDCPreselect=

  3. The KDC Values of the fund designations that you would like to preselect on the form for the donors

Example:

Here's what the Multi-Give form would look like without any of the parameters defined in the URL:

Here's the same form loaded with the kwoDCPreselect= parameter and KDC value of the fund designation defined within the URL:

The child fund designation KDC value is what was defined in the URL above, so that was preselected on the form.

With the Preselect parameter you can pre-populate parent, child, and even multiple fund designations at once.

To pre-populate multiple fund designations at once, you just need to separate the KDC values for each with a comma.

Filter

The Filter parameter is used to limit the fund designations present within the dropdown menu on the form for the donor.

Let's take the same example above: your community is having an art appreciation week and you want to encourage donors to give to specific art-related fund designations. You can use the Filter parameter to limit the choices present within the Multi-Give dropdown menu to those specific fund designations that are participating during the week. This highlights the fund designations and provides the donors a list of available options to show their support during the week.

To use the Filter parameter, all you need is:

  1. The URL of where the Multi-Give form is embedded

  2. kwoDCFilter=

  3. The KDC Values of the fund designations that you would like to filter on the form for the donors

Example:

Here's what the Multi-Give form would look like without any of the parameters defined in the URL:

The dropdown menu shows all of the fund designations that were added to the platform:

Here's the same form loaded with the kwoDCFilter= parameter and KDC values of the fund designations defined within the URL:

The full fund list was limited to the fund designations with their KDC Values defined in the URL above.

With the Filter parameter you can limit the selection of parent, child, and even multiple fund designations at once.

To filter multiple fund designations at once, you just need to separate the KDC values for each with a comma.

Combining Preselect and Filter

The Preselect and Filter parameters can be combined as well. This will allow you to pre-populate specific fund designations on the form, and then limit the list present within the dropdown menu on the form for the donor to select when adding new fund designations to their response.

To use the Preselect and Filter parameters, all you need is:

  1. The URL of where the Multi-Give form is embedded

  2. kwoDCPreselect=&kwoDCFilter=

  3. The KDC Values of the fund designations that you would like to preselect and filter on the form for the donors

Example:

Here's what the Multi-Give form would look like without any of the parameters defined in the URL:

The dropdown menu shows all of the fund designations that were added to the platform and none are preselected on the form:

Here's the same form loaded with the kwoDCPreselect&kwoDCFilter= parameters and KDC values of the fund designations defined within the URL.

The Preselect parameter, pre-populated a fund designation on the form:

While the Filter parameter limited the options that the donor could select from when adding a new fund designation:

Both parameters are powerful features that allow your team to have more flexibility with your forms.
