To learn more about the Multi-Give feature within Enterprise, please review this article.

Previously with Multi-Give, there was not a way to limit the number of fund designations a donor could add to their response. We understand that not all organizations have internal processes that can handle multiple fund designations through a form submission, so there is a need for limits. Sometimes this is done through a Multiple Choice/Single Response question on a standard donation form; however, that takes a lot of time and manual effort to maintain individual answer choices when compared to uploading a full list within the platform.

Form V2 Multi-Give Enhancements

With Form V2 and the Multi-Give feature, you have the ability to set a maximum on the number of fund designations that can be added by the donor through the Maximum Designee feature. Once the maximum number of fund designations is hit on the form, the "+" sign will no longer render on the form which prevents the donor from adding any additional ones.

Example:

The form below has a Maximum Designee value of 2. We can add the first fund designation and see that the "+" sign is still available for us to add a second:

Now, if we click the "+" button to add a second fund designation, the button disappears and we are unable to add a third. We can only make adjustments to the current two we selected or remove one:

Enabling Maximum Designees

If you're interested in limiting the number of fund designations donors can add to their form submission, you can enable the Maximum Designees feature under the Donation Levels section of the form.

The first section, Donation Question, is where this setting lives:

Click the edit button for that section, and within the box for Maximum Designees enter in the maximum number of fund designations you want to allow per form submission (ex. if you only want to allow 1 per form submission, enter "1" within the box):

Note: the default value is 0, which means there is not a specified limit.

Save the changes, and then the Maximum Designee value should be applied to your form.
