If the GoPro cannot be found, can't connect, or is only showing as a wireless connection, follow the troubleshooting steps below:
Make sure that the iPhone or iPad that is running Snappic is first connected to the GoPro via the GoPro Quik App. It is crucial to have the GoPro paired through the Quik App first before establishing a wired connection. After pairing via the Quik App, verify the connection by checking the Bluetooth connection in your iPhone/iPad settings.
Make sure that everything is connected to the correct data ports.
The iPhone or iPad that is running Snappic should be plugged into the Glambot port on the back of the pedestal labeled "Wrist Data" using a 6ft USB-C cable.
The GoPro should be plugged into the data port on the bottom side of arm 2 using a 3ft coiled USB-C cable.
Try another USB-C cable. We highly encourage using our recommended cables. Ensure that the cable used to connect to the GoPro is a USB 2.0 data transfer cable and not a charge-only cable. Ensure the GoPro is powered on and shows USB Connected when plugged in.
If using a wired connection, the USB-C connection may need to be flipped 180 degrees. Some USB-C connections are directional and only work one way.
Event Pro 3: Flip the USB-C connection point going into the data port on the bottom side of arm 2 (the smaller second half of the arm without the logo).
Event Pro 1 & Event Pro 2: Flip the USB-C connection point going into the data port on the bottom side of arm 1 (the part with the Glambot® logo) near the shoulder.
The USB cable may be too long (USB cables have length limits on data transfer). Ensure you are using the recommended cable lengths of 3ft on the camera connected to the data port on arm 2 and 6.6ft or less on the iphone/ipad connected to the data port on the pedestal. See our list of recommended cables
Make sure that Snappic has all the necessary permissions enabled in the settings of your iPhone/iPad:
Reset the GoPro connections:
Reset the GoPro to factory settings by swiping down on the screen, then swipe left. Go to [Preferences] - [Wireless Connections] - [Reset Connections]
On the iPhone running Snappic, install/open the GoPro Quik app and connect the GoPro to it.
Once connected, give GoPro a custom name.
Test the live view by tapping [Enable Preview] on the Quik app (this will force the GoPro to connect to a device using WiFi)
Once this is confirmed working, close the Quik app
Then open the Snappic app, select your event, and test the GoPro connection
The GoPro may not be properly setup. To pair the GoPro, follow these instructions for GoPro Wired Connection or GoPro Wireless Connection
If using an iPhone/iPad with a lightning port (iPhone 14 or older models), you will need to use a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.
If using an Apple USB-C to Digital AV Adapter, ensure you are using the USB-A on the right side with the data logo to connect to the Glambot® data port. You will need a USB-A to USB-C Cable.
you may need to bypass the data port on the pedestal and connect the iPad data cable directly into the data port on the bottom side of arm 1 (the section of the arm with the Glambot® logo)
The GoPro may not be fully compatible. Ensure you are using a GoPro Hero 10 or newer to establish a wired connection.
If your GoPro was previously paired with another device, you may need to Reset the GoPro to factory settings so that it can be paired to a new device without interruption. It is crucial to have the GoPro connected on the Quik app page before attempting to film using a wired or wireless connection
Reset the GoPro to factory settings by navigating to [Preferences] - [Reset] - [Factory Reset]
Install/open the GoPro Quik app and connect the GoPro to it.
If you have completed all previous troubleshooting steps, are using the recommended cables, and are still experiencing connection issues, the problem may originate from an internal issue with the iPad, iPhone, or GoPro.
