Switchboard presents your needs to our community of Believers who want to use their gifts to advance the Great Commission.
Step 1: Create a compelling bio
From your dashboard, go to your Profile and scroll to the "Tell us about your ministry" section. Update your bio in the "Introduction" field.
Believers will see your bio alongside your request for help. A compelling bio helps people connect with your ministry and increases the likelihood that someone will join you in the work God has called you to do. This video shows a simple way to quickly write a compelling bio.
Step 2: Browse our catalog for the skill you need
From your Dashboard, click Request Help to browse our catalog of skills.
Use the search bar to enter keywords, or browse skill categories to find the skill you need.
If you need help with multiple skills, create a separate request for each skill you need.
Step 3: Decide the type of request you'd like to make
Need Advice?
Post a Question -> Receive insights and ideas from multiple Believers with relevant experience and expertise.
Talk to an Expert -> Request a focused conversation with a skilled Believer to brainstorm, learn something new or solve a problem together.
Need Hands-on Virtual Help?
Quick-Start Projects -> Request 2-6 hours of help from a skilled volunteer to make progress on a specific goal. You decide how the volunteer's time is prioritized. Learn more here.
Virtual Role -> Request ongoing support from a skilled volunteer who can serve with your ministry over time.
Step 4: Make a request and keep an eye on your email
Once you select the skill and type of request you'd like to make, click Request and complete the additional details.
All requests are reviewed by Switchboard before being sent to skilled Believers. You will receive an email once your request is approved or declined. If you request is declined, we will work with you to revise the request.
If a Believer is interested in serving with you, Switchboard will send you a connection email.
From there, you can continue the conversation within Switchboard or take the connection offline.

✨: No matter which type of request you make, the requests that get picked up quickly are:
⛪️ Mission Forward - Believers volunteer their time when they connect with and believe in your mission! The first sentence of your request should be about the heartbeat of your ministry!
🧩 Bite-sized - Make sure your request is something that you can achieve in the amount of time allowed for each type of request.
🥰 Meaningful - Volunteers want to see how their time will move your mission forward!
