When managing club repair orders, you can add a Club Repair Technician to the order. Adding a Technician to a club repair order will allow you to:
Track club repairs by a technician.
Track commissions.
Send notifications to technicians.
Set a default technician.
Technicians can be current Golf Shop Managers or non-Golf Shop Managers (e.g., outside staff, interns, etc.). You will have the ability to define a list of technicians by assigning the existing managers as technicians or creating a new technician record.
In this article, we will discuss how you can add technicians, view or change technician information, and modify technician repair order request notifications.
Adding New Technicians:
To add a new Technician, follow these instructions:
Go to Services > Club Repairs > Technicians.
Click "New Technician."
Select if the technician is already a Golf Shop User. If the technician is a Golf Genius - Golf Shop Manager, select "Yes," if they are not, select "No."
If you selected "Yes":
If you selected "No."
Click "Save."
Note: When entering technician information, enter the contact information (phone and email) that will be used to notify the Technician when new club repair orders are placed.
Viewing and Changing Information:
You can view and make changes to your technician list and technician information by going to Services > Club Repairs > Technicians (as shown below).
To change information for a Technician, follow these instructions:
Click the action drop-down and select "Edit" for the technician.
Add/Change the necessary information in the technician form (as shown below).
Click "Save."
Note: Email changes for Golf Shop Managers can be done by the Manager when they log into Golf Genius - Golf Shop. Those changes by an existing Manager will be reflected in the Technician List.
Modifying Technician Repair Order Request Notifications:
When creating a new club repair order and leaving the technician as "Unassigned," you will be able to select technicians to be notified of the new repair order that can be picked up on a first-come basis. To update this information, follow these directions:
Go to Services > Club Repairs > Settings.
In the section "Repair Request Notifications," select how each club repair technician would like to be notified of new repair request orders (as shown below).
Click "Save."
The selected club repair technician will then receive notification of new repair request orders via email or text message. On a first serve basis, the club repair technicians can accept and be assigned the club repair. These requests will vary based on the number of repairs associated with the club repair order.

Club Repair with One Repair Request:
When a club repair comes through for a single repair, the technician will be able to assign the repair by clicking "Assign Repair to Me" link in the email or weblink in the text message (as shown below).
Club Repair with Multiple Repair Requests:
When a club repair comes through for multiple repairs, the technician will be able to assign a portion of each repair by clicking "Assign" or t he entire repair by clicking "Assign All Repair to Me" link in the email or weblink in the text message (as shown below).
