One of the most significant benefits of using Golf Genius - Golf Shop is the ability to send automated emails and text messages to your customers for special orders, demo equipment, club repair process, and more. This allows your members and guests to "stay connected."
Further, you are not locked into the content of these automated messages. You can customize the default automated notification and make "on the fly" adjustments to include a personalized message to your members and guests. For more details on customizing notifications on the fly, Click Here.
When sending email notifications to members and guests, you can also view the email delivery reports to ensure emails were delivered successfully and identify those that were not. Click Here for more details.
Many clubs have preferences on what notifications are being sent to their customers and staff. In summary, there are three levels in which notification settings can be managed:
Account-level Settings
Member Notification Settings
Instance Level Setting
Special Order,
Stock Order,
Online Order Forms,
Demo Equipment,
Rentals, and
Club Repair Level Settings.
In this article, we will discuss these three levels of settings and how they relate to each other.
Account-Level Settings:
Changes to your account-level settings are applied across all of your new special orders, stock orders, demos, and club repairs. If you are a new customer, these settings should be applied during your account setup.
Email: To manage these settings for your automated emails, go to Communication > Emails > Automated Emails, and enable or disable available messages for each notification area (as shown below).
For more details about managing automated emails, Click Here.
Text Message: To manage these settings for your automated text messages, go to Communication > Text Messages > Automated Text Messages, and enable or disable available messages for each notification area (as shown below).
For more details about managing automated text messages, Click Here.
When changing account-level notifications sent to "Customer" recipients, the changes will also be applied to the member-level notification settings discussed in the next section.
Member-Level Notification Settings:
Often, members have different preferences when it comes to notifications. Some may prefer emails instead of text messages. Some may prefer that they do not receive specific notifications.
To accommodate these preferences, you can customize each member's notification preferences for special orders, demo clubs, and club repairs (overriding account-level settings). To do this, go to the Members tab, select the dropdown next to the member's name, and click "Notification Settings" (as shown below).
Make the necessary changes and click "Save." These changes will then be applied to any special orders, demos, rentals, club repairs, and tasks for that member.
Instance Level Setting (Special Order, Stock Order, Online Order Forms, Demo Equipment, Rentals, and Club Repair):
Special Order, Demo, Rental, and Club Repair Level Settings:
During the special order, stock order, online order form, demo, rental, and club repair process, there are instances where notifications can be sent (e.g., order received, a demo is checked out, club repair in process, etc.). The settings tricle down for these notifications from the account level and member notification settings (discussed above). Suppose you create a special order for a member, and they mention they don't want the email sent when the order is place, just for this order. In that case, you can enable or disable these notifications for each specific notification (without affecting the account level and member notification settings).
As you manage your special orders, stock orders, demos, rentals, and club repairs, you will see a tab on the right for notifications to customers where you can enable and disable notifications. For instance, you can control the notification when an order is placed (as shown below) without impacting the member-level or account-level settings.
