A vendor may occasionally split a stock order into two, three, or more after placing an order. You will also be able to split stock orders into multiple orders so you can enter specific details (e.g., Shipping, Invoice, etc.) about that portion of the order to match what your vendor has done with the order.
In this article, we will discuss how to split detailed stock orders and quick-entry stock orders from the Stock Order Dashboard.
Splitting Detailed Entry Stock Orders:
To split a detailed entry stock order, follow these instructions:
Go to Orders > Stock Orders > Dashboard.
Find the stock order you want to split and click the action dropdown.
Click "Split."
Update the order nickname, shipping details, and cancel date (if necessary).
Within each line item, enter the quantity of each size to move and click "Move selected."
Copy over details for "Special Instructions to Vendor," "Internal Notes," and "Order Description" (if necessary).
Click "Split."

Splitting Quick Entry Stock Orders:
To split a quick entry stock order, follow these instructions:
Go to Orders > Stock Orders > Dashboard.
Find the stock order you want to split and click the action dropdown.
Click "Split."
Update the order nickname, shipping details, and cancel date (if necessary).
Move all or portions of a category to the new stock order.
To move an entire category, click "Move All."
To move a portion of a category, enter the total quantity to move and click "Move."
Copy over details for "Special Instructions to Vendor," "Internal Notes," and "Order Description" (if necessary).
Click "Split."
