Lost and Found Dashboard

Tracking lost and found items can be difficult, but being able to return an item to someone can make their day. Utilizing the lost and found feature is a great way to track and manage every item that is reported lost or found, making it easy to connect people with their lost items.

Before proceeding with the Lost and Found feature, it is important to review the Dashboard. Here, you will track, manage, and view items that have been reported as lost or found.

Dashboard View:

To access the Dashboard, go to Services > Lost and Found > Dashboard. On the Dashboard, all tracked lost and found items will be organized from top to bottom by "Status" (as shown below).

When viewing the Dashboard, you can filter the Dashboard with the following options (as shown below):

  • Lost and Found Items

  • Lost Items

  • Found Items

You can also change the sort order by clicking on the column titles (as shown below).

Viewable Fields:

You can also change the columns displayed by clicking on the "Fields" button (as shown below). You can also change the sort order of the columns displayed by dragging them into the preferred order using the hamburger menu icon.

Rental Statuses:

When on the Lost and Found Dashboard, items will have a status showing information about the item (as shown below).

The following status might be displayed:

  • Lost: Items reported as lost.

  • Found and Unclaimed: Items reported as found.

  • Found and Claimed: Lost or found items claimed by a member or guest.

  • Found and Returned to Owner: Lost and found items returned to the member or guest. Items with this status will be removed from the Lost and Found dashboard after 24 hours, but can still be searched using Advanced Search.

  • Lost and Deleted: Items reported as lost but deleted from the dashboard. These items are removed from the main dashboard but can still be found using Advanced Search.

  • Found and Deleted: Items reported as found but deleted from the dashboard. These items are removed from the main dashboard but can still be found using Advanced Search.

Lost and Found Item Actions:

Each lost and found item has a quick action options menu. Click on the action dropdown to access those actions (as shown below).

The following quick actions are available (Note: Available actions are based on the item's status. Not all actions are available to all item statuses.):

  • Mark as Found: Change the status of a lost item to "Found and Claimed."

  • Found and Claimed: Change the status of a found item to "Found and Claimed."

  • Return to Owner: Finalizes the order and marks the lost or found item as "Found and Returned to Owner."

  • Revert to Previous Status: Change the current status to the prior status.

  • Edit: Edit the lost and found item.

  • Delete: Delete a lost and found item.

  • Restore: Restores the deleted item to the previous status.

Quick and Advanced Search:

At the top of the Dashboard, you can quickly search rentals by information that might be found in the item's details, such as member/guest name, type, tracking, or other information (as shown below). The advanced search for more granular search functions can also be found by clicking on "Lost and Found Dashboard Search." Quick Action Button:

In the status column to the right, you might also notice the "Fast Forward" icon (shown below). With one click, this icon allows you to quickly transition the item to the "Return to Owner" status.

The quick action can be used in the following circumstances:

  • Found and Claimed items can be moved to Found and Returned to Owner.
