Searching and Filtering Lost and Found Items

As your list of lost and found items grow, it is important to be able to find and access information quickly. You can search and filter items on the Lost and Found Dashboard. When searching, you can use one of the methods to search for and filter items:

  • Quick search

  • Advanced search

  • View Filter by Status (e.g., Lost and Found)

In this article, we will provide instructions on using quick search and advanced search to filter and find lost and found items.

Quick Search Lost and Found:

If you are looking for a lost or found item that is still unclaimed, use the quick search at the top of the Lost and Found Dashboard. The quick search allows you to search by member/guest name, type, tracking, or other information (as shown below).

Advanced Search/Filter:

Using the advanced filter, you can also search current, past, and deleted lost and found items based on additional criteria. To search for lost and found items, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Services > Lost and Found > Dashboard.

  2. Click "Lost and Found Dashboard Search" (as shown below).

  3. Select one or more search filters:

    1. Status: Will filter Found items, excluding Lost ones, based on the following options:

      1. Claimed

      2. Unclaimed

      3. Returned to Owner

    2. Customer Type: Search based on a customer type:

      1. Member

      2. Guest

      3. Staff

    3. Customer Name: Enter the name of the customer.

    4. Category: Select one of your categories.

    5. Lost on Start/End Date

    6. Found on Start/End Date

    7. Show Items: Include items from the following statuses that are not shown by default on the dashboard:

      1. Deleted

      2. Returned to Owner

View Filter by Status (e.g., Lost and Found):

The view option allows you to display lost and found items based on one of the following views:

  • Lost and Found Items

  • Lost Items

  • Found Items
