Frequently asked questions regarding payments

Updated over 2 months ago

What methods of payment do you accept?

Payment for orders placed on our shop will be captured when your order is successfully placed. We accept the following methods of payment:

We do not accept orders placed over the phone or via the mail.

We do not accept checks or money orders.

Will I be charged sales tax?

New internet commerce laws are such that we are required to charge sales tax in states where we are considered to have a retail or economic presence. Because we ship goods to your state, we are considered to have a presence there, and as such are required to charge sales tax on all orders from your state. We can assure you the sales tax you were charged is indeed being paid directly to your state.

Sales tax will be charged on items shipping to the following states and districts (additional local city & county taxes may apply):

Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Nebraska, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota. Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Orders shipping to the United Kingdom will include VAT added to payment during checkout, depending on the shipping method chosen. Orders shipping outside the United States may be subject to international import fees, taxes, or tariffs which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Our shop is not responsible in the case that additional charges apply. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs office for information.

Why was my credit card declined, and why does my statement say, "payment pending”?

The main reason for declined credit card transactions, other than insufficient funds, is incorrect billing address information. To protect ourselves and our customers from theft and fraud our bank requires billing address verification, which includes street address and the postal code (zip code) as well as the 3 digit security code printed on the back of the card, which should match what is entered into the “CVV” field on your order form. If your card has been declined, you can rest assured that your credit card has NOT been charged. A "payment pending" charge may show up on your bank or credit card company's records for a day or two, but no actual funds have been, or will be, transferred.
