We are updating how unassignment fees work to help keep jobs running smoothly.

Before, a flat £3 fee was charged when a courier accepted a job and then asked to be unassigned. Now, the fee will be a percentage of the job fee. This starts at £1 and increases the closer the un-assignment is to the pickup time.

You still have 2 minutes after accepting a job to unassign yourself free of charge.

Please only accept jobs you plan to complete. If you need to be unassigned, use the option in the app as soon as possible. Late unassignments can cause delays and refunds.

Our fleet team will monitor unassignments to help keep the system fair for everyone.

What happens if you unassign late?

If you cancel a job close to the pickup time, we will charge a small fee. The amount charged depends on how close the cancellation is to the earliest pickup time.

These charges help us cover the cost of arranging another courier at short notice and any customer refunds caused by late delivery.

Reassigning jobs

If you reassign a job to another courier or subcontractor, the 2-minute and 10-minute cancellation periods do not apply.

In these cases, any fee is based only on how much time is left before the pickup time.

How to avoid unassignment fees

Only accept a job if you are 100% sure you can pick it up and deliver it on time.

Before accepting a job, always check:

  • Pickup deadline

  • Delivery deadline

  • Number of parcels, total size and weight

  • Space available in your vehicle

Use the 2-minute free cancellation window

After accepting a job, you have 2 minutes to cancel the job free of charge.

Use this time to:

  • Check your updated route and sequence

  • Make sure all deadlines can be met

  • Review pickup and delivery instructions

Where can I see unassignment charges?

You can see a full breakdown of any cancellation fees in your weekly fees invoice.
