Right to Work Check – What You Need to Know

Updated over a week ago

All couriers on Gophr will need to complete a Right to Work in the UK check. This is required to meet new legislation.

Please complete this before the 28th April to continue working.

Gophr is required by law to verify the Right to Work status of all couriers on the platform. This means you'll need to complete a Right to Work (RTW) check. Failing to do so will result in your account being restricted from accepting and completing jobs.

Before you begin:

  • Update the app to v3.33.11 or above.

  • Prepare:

If you are the UK/ ROI citizen

If you have a Visa

Original passport

Original passport

A share code

How to get a share code?

  1. Enter your identity details.

  2. Verify your account.

  3. Select purpose: "To prove my right to work".

  4. Click "Get share code" to receive a 9-digit alphanumeric code starting with W.

How to Complete Your RTW Check:

  • Open the Gophr app and go to the RTW check section in your profile

  • Choose the right option for your case

  • If you are a UK or Irish passport holder, follow the on-screen instructions to scan your passport

  • If you are a Visa holder, follow the on-screen instructions to add:

    • Your passport

    • Your valid share code

  • And the same for your face scan

  • Submit your documents and wait for confirmation

Tip: Make sure you're in a well-lit area with a clear, steady camera

⚠️ Blurry or poorly lit images are the most common reason for a failed check. Take your time and re-take the photo if it doesn't look sharp.
