GorillaDesk's email functionality and SMS functionality is intended for communicating with customers who have active jobs scheduled.

Note: You can send emails and SMS to scheduled jobs within a certain date range with Broadcasts, but not to all customers.

Mass marketing emails and SMS for promotional purposes should be sent through a separate marketing software. Two software options we can recommend are www.mailchimp.com or www.madmimi.com

You can create email lists by exporting your customer list or report data from GorillaDesk into the software of your choice. These programs make it easy to customize any type of newsletters or promotions you plan to send out.

We aim to send emails and SMS to active customers with scheduled jobs, invoices, statements.

Example: Someone sends a marketing email from GorillaDesk to Old customers who bounce and mark this email as spam, this will hurt the delivery rate for all critical email.

So it's better that your platform for critical emails and SMS does not allow this type of practice.

You want to be sure your emails and SMS regarding invoices, scheduling, and payments are being received. If the customer marks your marketing emails or SMS as spam then those may stop being delivered to that customer.
