Text-for-Jobs can be a powerful tool for attracting and converting more candidates for your jobs. But like most things, what you get out of it is primarily a result of how much you invest in it.

Below we've included some examples and tips for how to promote your Text-for-Jobs campaign.

We recommend selecting at least 2 of these tactics for promoting your Text-for-Jobs campaign to maximize the impact. 😄

#1: Promote your campaign on social media

Posting your Text-for-Jobs campaign on social media is a great way to promote your campaign and drive new qualified candidates in the door. Share across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram to maximize your reach.

Your post can include copy only or you can add an image to increase engagement (examples below).

Sample copy: “Interested in working at [company name]? Text [KEYWORD] to 89743 to chat about open jobs!”

To optimize your images, follow the below size guidelines for each social media channel:

  • LinkedIn: 1,104 x 736 pixels

  • Facebook: 1,200 x 628 pixels

  • Instagram: 1,080 x 1,080 pixels

  • Twitter: 1,200 x 675 pixels

If you post an image, make sure to write a message to your audience above the image. Use copy that will appeal to passive candidates that aren't necessarily ready to apply.

For example: "Looking for a job in sales or just curious what it's like working at Grayscale? Text JOBS to 89743 to explore a career with us and apply!"

When you post on social, your work isn't done! Get the recruiting team to help promote the post by liking it and sharing it with their networks.

This helps extend the reach of your post (for example, LinkedIn loves post engagement, so likes and shares your post stays at the top of people's feeds longer!).

#2: Drive traffic from your stores/clinics

Have a brick and mortar location -- retail store, clinic, hospital, etc.?

Advertising your Text-for-Jobs campaigns at the stores can be a powerful new source of pre-qualified candidates.

There are several ways you can promote your campaign at your locations:

  1. Put up signage at the front door or window by the entrance

  2. Put up a sign by the checkout counter

  3. Put an A-frame sign on the sidewalk in front of your location

Use simple, clear language like:

"We're hiring! Text [KEYWORD] to 89743 to apply."

#3: Create an engaging experience on campus and at hiring events

Text-for-Jobs can be an extremely powerful tool for hiring events and campus recruiting.

Instead of having students fill out sign-up forms, let them engage with your interactive chatbot, which will gather their info and serve up relevant jobs to the candidate.

Here are some creative ways our clients are enhancing their event strategy with Text-for-Jobs:

  • Display signage at your booth encouraging students to: "Text [KEYWORD] to 89743 to chat with us about openings

  • Include your Text-for-Jobs CTA on your swag, marketing materials, business cards, and flyers you hand out to event attendees

And after the event has wrapped, you'll be able to easily take bulk action and text your candidates regarding next steps.

#4: Advertise your campaign at the top of job postings

Including your Text-for-Jobs campaign on job postings can be a powerful way to drive more traffic inbound.

Simply add a line at the very top or bottom of your job posting that says something like this:

"Text [KEYWORD] to 89743 to chat about open positions!"

PRO TIP: Adding it to the very top of your job posting will maximize visibility and convert more passive candidates.

#5: Include your campaign in your email signature

Are you using your email to source talent? Adding your Text-for-Jobs campaign to the bottom of your email signature can be a great way to increase conversion.

Simply add a line like the one below to the very bottom of your signature:

"Want to chat about jobs at [company name]? Text [KEYWORD] to 89743 to chat about openings.

#6: Highlight your campaign on your career site

Highlighting Text-for-Job campaigns directly on your career site can drive a new source of passive candidates that isn't going to apply. People are much more likely to start a conversation via text message than they are to apply for a job.

PRO TIP: Advertise keywords like INTERNS on internship specific pages on the career site so the call-to-action is hyper relevant.

#7: Advertise your campaign via channels like radio, billboards, and pay-per-click ads

Opening a new office and need to get the word out? Having trouble staffing up key talent in a particular market? Advertising your Text-for-Jobs campaign via billboards and radio can be a great way to attract a whole new source of interested candidates that may not navigate to your career site and apply.
