Advanced Customization and Tracking for Pricing Rules

Advanced customization lets you fine-tune your Pricing Rules

Updated over a week ago

Enhanced Pricing Rule customization and Rule Tracking features give you more control over your pricing strategies and offer valuable insights into the effectiveness of different pricing rules.

Pricing Rule Customization

Combination or Priority Rules

When you create a pricing rule, you can set it to Combination or Priority.

  • Combination Rules are cumulative. If multiple Combination Rules apply to a lane and shipper, all of the rules will affect the rate.

  • Priority Rules override all other Pricing Rules, so that only the Priority Rule affects the rate:

  • Within the Priority Rules, you can also set a Final Sell Rate if you would like that will overwrite the sell price with a flat price instead of modifying the price by a markup:

  • You can create negative Pricing Rules to discount freight for specific shipments:

Expanded Denotation Fields

As before, you can add multiple conditions to a Pricing Rule. We've added more options to help you fine-tune your pricing:

  • Confidence: Specify markups based on the confidence level of the shipment.

  • Transport Type: Apply markups based on the type of transport (e.g., truck, air, sea).

  • User: Set markups for specific users or user groups.

  • Matching Time: Calculate markups based on the time difference between the current timestamp and pickup date.

  • Transit Time: Apply markups depending on the time difference between pickup and delivery.

  • Weight: Specify markups based on the weight of the shipment.

  • Commodity: Define markups based on the type of commodity being transported.

Rule Tracking and Analysis

Once we’ve received your data and built out the infrastructure, Greenscreens will be able to provide metrics for your quote patterns. We will initially handle the analysis through our sync calls, providing distinct top-line changes from Pricing Rules. In the future, we plan to introduce a self-service suite for pricing analytics, granting you full control and visibility into the impact of pricing rules.
