How does contact data enrichment work?
When a contact is uploaded to Grinfi, the platform checks whether it already exists in our internal database. If the contact is found and its data hasn't been updated in over 3 months, the system initiates a new enrichment process to refresh the information. If the contact is new, enrichment starts immediately. Depending on the workload and enrichment queue, this process may take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Contacts can be added to automations before enrichment is completed - they will remain on the segment level and automatically proceed through the sequence once enrichment is finished.
My profile has Sales Navigator, but Grinfi doesn’t recognize it. What should I do?
Grinfi automatically checks for a Sales Navigator subscription within 4 hours after the profile is connected or the subscription is purchased.
In some cases, LinkedIn delays confirming the new premium status - for example, if the profile hasn't yet shown activity inside Sales Navigator. To speed things up, simply open Sales Navigator and perform any search to trigger detection.
If Grinfi still hasn’t recognized Sales Navigator after 8 hours, please contact our support team, and we’ll help manually resolve the issue.
My search query/CSV contained more contacts than were actually imported. Why?
By default, Grinfi only imports new, unique contacts. If a contact was previously imported, it will be marked as a duplicate. In most cases, the "missing" contacts are actually duplicates. You can review this in the import tab.
Why does my CSV import show an error?
The most common reason is incorrect CSV file encoding. To fix it, upload your CSV file to Google Drive and open it using Google Sheets. Re-download it in CSV format and import it again into Grinfi.
Import won’t start / started, but no contacts are being collected / import is very slow. What should I check?
Make sure your LinkedIn profile is properly connected to Grinfi and there are no visible errors like "LinkedIn is logged out". See this article for common troubleshooting steps.
Check your sender profile’s working schedule - it may be outside of active hours. Learn more about scheduling in this article.
Make sure your profile hasn’t reached the daily import limit (visible in the Sender Profiles section). If you're using Basic search, 1 page = 10 contacts.
If you're using Sales Navigator, 1 page = 25 contacts.
*Unlike other limits, import limits refresh once daily. Any changes you make to import caps will apply starting the next day.**CSV imports usually take from 3–5 minutes up to 2–3 hours. Sales Navigator imports can take several hours depending on platform load, data volume, and LinkedIn search limits..
Additional notes to better understand how Grinfi works
Grinfi does not automatically import your 1st-degree connections from LinkedIn.
All imported data is saved within lists (folders). Every contact must belong to a list and cannot be part of multiple lists at once.
Contacts can be moved between lists.
Each contact can have multiple tags - there are no restrictions on how many tags you can assign.
A single contact can participate in multiple automations simultaneously.
If a contact replies to any of the messages, all active automations for that contact are paused automatically.
A contact cannot be added to the same automation twice. Grinfi will ignore repeated attempts. However, within the automation itself, the contact may re-enter the sequence if the Rotate Sender Profiles feature is used. Learn more here.
