Edit a product's attributes

Edit the size, age, gender, descriptions, customisation and images of your suppliers' products, across all your shops.

Written by Adrien Gontero

Sometimes you need to make changes to the products in your suppliers' catalogues. Good news: it all happens in one single place.

From the Catalogues tab in your dashboard, you'll find your suppliers' catalogue data. You can look up a reference and edit its attributes to correct a price, add or edit a description, enter an external reference for your ERP, or change the gender.

Note: changes made from the Catalogues tab apply across all your shops. If you want to make changes to a product for a specific club, select the club and go to the Products tab.

Edit the size, age or gender of an item

Once you've found the reference, open the item and click Edit. A form opens where you can edit the item's general information, images, price and customisations. Go to Sizes to edit the Size, Age and Gender attributes.

  • Age: choose between Adult, Child or All. For example, select All if you want the item's size to be available for both adults and children — the typical case of a pair of socks that should appear in both categories

  • Size: enter the size you want displayed in the shop. When some suppliers' size charts use S, M, L, XL, you may prefer a different naming convention in centimetres, such as 128cm, 140cm, 152cm, 164cm

  • Gender: choose between Men, Women or Unisex

Important: repeat this action for each size of the item concerned.

Enter an external reference

If your information system (ERP) is connected to your platform, you may need to enter a reference specific to your system to make it easier to transfer information between the software and your ERP.

Enter your internal reference in the External reference field from the Sizes tab.

Add or edit a description

Sometimes, some suppliers' catalogue data show incomplete item titles, with no detailed description. To optimise your sales and your customers' experience, you can complete the information shown on your product pages.

To adapt, edit or add a description, go to Infos. You can then:

  • Adapt the item title if it doesn't suit you

  • Add details about the product's composition to better guide your customer

Tip: a clear, complete page — with a title that reads well and a few details about the material or use — reassures your customers and reduces questions at the point of purchase.

Edit an item's customisation settings

You can enable or disable, item by item, customisation on the front and back of the product. To edit customisation for a specific item, open the product page via the Edit button, then go to the Customisation section. You can:

  • Define whether the product can be customised on the front, with the club logo and initials

  • Define whether the product can be customised on the back, with a name on the back

Note: like any change made from Catalogues, this setting applies across all your shops. For club-level changes, select the club and go to Products.

Edit an item's image or change the display order

Sometimes a supplier's visuals are in the wrong order, and the image shown first isn't the most appealing. You can reorder the display to highlight the right visual.

Open the product page via the Edit button, then go to the Images section. Drag the images to change their display order: the first image in the list becomes the main image shown in the shop. You can add an image, and you can also hide, replace or delete an image that doesn't work.

Tip: the main image is the one that appears as a thumbnail in product lists. Place the most representative visual of the item first to catch the eye at a glance.

FAQ

My product's images are in the wrong order — how do I put them back in the right order?

Open the product page via Edit, then reorder the images in the Images section. The first image in the list is the one shown first in the shop. See "Edit an item's image or change the display order".

My socks only appear under Adult — how do I show them under Child too?

From the Sizes tab, set the Age attribute to All. Repeat for each size concerned. See "Edit the size, age or gender of an item".

The size format shown doesn't suit me — can I change it?

Yes. Enter the naming convention of your choice in the Size field (for example 164cm rather than XL). Repeat this for each size of the item.

My products' descriptions aren't suitable — how do I fix them?

Open the product page via Edit to adjust the title and complete the description in the Infos tab. See "Add or edit a description".

An item shows too many sizes — what can I do?

Sizes come from the data sent by your supplier: we import them exactly as we receive them. You can edit them as you like, at two levels: from the Catalogues tab (the change applies to all your shops), or from the relevant club's Products tab (the change only applies to that club). See “Edit the size, age or gender of an item”.

These changes don't apply to kits: a product's sizes in a kit are set in the kit editor (see Create and publish kits).
